I approach this space with a sensory-first lens: reaching the right audience through intentional color, appetite-driven photography, and typography that carries as much personality as the product itself.
Even transactional flows have room for personality: I've designed order-ready and address-change emails for Momofuku that stay true to the brand's energy, and reimagined a dog food brand's subscription cancellation flow with mournful pups and playful branding that make even a "we're sad to see you go" moment feel worth opening.

For early-stage brands still finding their visual identity, I've used AI-assisted studio tools to generate clean, polished ingredient and product visuals, a way to move quickly and test directions before investing in a full photoshoot with a stylist and photographer.
